Ive never seen the sight plugs held in with e-clips so not sure if you have special bowls. If the fuel level is too high in the bowl, the level will be too high in the emulsion passages inside the carb main body.

I'm taking a guess these are not anything I'd want to run, but I would like to hear other opinions ...Loosen the screw SLIGHTLY, and turn the nut to adjust the float level.
