I was researching gx460's 2 years ago and pulled the trigger on a 4Runner the last minute because a good deal showed up. Buying either would've made me happy. Less interior space in the GX, though what space there is is more plush. I don't know for certain, but I think you would be hard pressed to find bumpers, sliders, and lift kits for a GX. Aftermarket support aside, the GX is basically identical to the 4runner. Same frame and suspension, but a V8 instead of V6.
