Cadillac won't start but lights come on
Check your alternator it has a decoupler pulley that has clutches inside the pulley itself. It might be going out and since this happens under acceleration you can't rule this out. In the center of your defrost grille there are 2 sensors (one flat and one dome like). They are the light sensors, one for the headlights and one for the interior lights. Usually one of them fell down into the dashboard and you get the lights on in strange occasions (like in bright sun since inside the dash is kind of dark).Turn the key on. Dash lights come on. Turn to Start = nothing (no crank)! Try 5 or 6 times and maybe it'll start. Runs fine after that...but it's a crapshoot if it'll start again. May go weeks before this happens again. Replaced: battery, Engine Control Module (programmed by Dealer), Starter Relay.
