Safest way for me as a pmc is to try and kill one or two then bait them into coming for me around a corner. Flashbang grenades do wonders to disperse them if you are cornered or if they are to well holed in. Fast explosion, low noise to not draw too much attention. And ensure you are properly equiped to handle them.
