The primary thing I think was they reduced the amount of the carry melt treatment a little. The basic difference between Series II and pre-series II (like yours) is the Series II guns have a Swartz firing pin safety.You even said it at the end of the review… Function vs form. That Glock will run longer and better than the Kimber. No need to change the recoil spring after 800 rounds like Kimber recommends for its pistol. Don’t get me wrong, the Kimber looks great, but considering cost, fire power and reliability, Glock wins hands down. I own both the P938 and a Kimber Ultra Carry CDP II. Two vastly different guns, difficult to compare. Personally I find the Kimber a tad too much to carry and a bit finicky as many 1911's tend to be. It is going to be a Kimber and it is going to be either the Pro Carry or the Ultra Carry. Pro Carry is full size frame (alloy) and 4" slide. Ultra Carry is officer frame and 3" barrel. I really prefer commander length pistols, so I am leaning toward the Pro Carry.
