I had a USG, Gen1 Cloud Key, and a Flex mini switch that I was all able to replace with the Ultra. I was nervous I was going to have 4-hour frustrating experience, but it was went super smoothly! Here are the steps I took. Plugged the Ultra into an open port on my local network, and let it upgrade. Restored from a backup in the controller ...

Apparently, Ubiquiti is pushing their Teleport feature, which apparently can be used with WiFiMan on Android to connect remotely. Also FWIW, I saw something about having to login via UID to enable the Teleport/VPN and "generate the URL". (I've never used the feature, so I do not know how it actually works.)LR = POE + (will have to buy new switches) LR = 4x4 MIMO & 4x4 MIMO. LR = throughput 2400 Mbps 5Ghz. PRO= POE (no new switches) PRO = 2x2 MIMO and 4x4 MIMO. PRO=throughput 4.8 Gbps. so which is more important the extra 2x2 MIMO on the 2.4 ghz side or the extra speed the PRO has on the 5 ghz size?100 votes, 76 comments. true. Hello! Currently have the USG, a 16 port PoE Switch, and 4 APs with my controller hosted on Docker on my Synology.

Really the only reason to get the regular vs the pro is the width of the pro and how much space you have available in your install application. I have the regular installed in the trim direct next to my storm. The pro won't fit unless I do some custom fab/3d print or drill a new location in my brick.

I had the same dilemma. I went with Reolink for my outdoor cameras because I couldn’t stomach the cost of Unifi’s. If a Reolink camera breaks I really don’t care because it’s like $60-80 to replace it. I havent had any break so far and they’ve been used 24/7 for about 12 months in Chicago weather.

I purchased 3 U7-Pros when they were released. 2 Connect perfectly and have 0 issues. 1 continues to say it failed provisioning. Strangeness is that it provisions and connects for 3-5 days and passes traffic perfectly fine, then drops in to unable to provision. The device is hardwired back to USG-PRO SE and draws power fine.
